New Assistant Vice President of Physician Services Appointed PDF Print E-mail
Michael George has been appointed Assistant Vice President, Physician Services, at AEHN.  Mr. George previously served as Executive Director for Summit Surgical Center, LLC, a free-standing, for-profit, multispecialty, ambulatory surgery center which is an affiliate of Virtua Health.
There he managed 200 physicians and 100 staff employees.  His work centered on building surgical volume and improving profitability for investors.  In addition, Mr. George has held prior positions as Chief Operating Officer of the Rothman Institute and Chief Operating Officer for Penn Medicine at Radnor, an outpatient ambulatory facility of the University of Pennsylvania Health System.  He comes to Einstein with experience in implementing the EPIC electronic medical record system and has prior experience as an internal consultant and process engineer.  Mr. George holds both a BA and an MBA with concentration in health and medical services administration from Widener University. 

He will be focusing his efforts primarily on Einstein Practice Plan, Inc., and working collaboratively with the Clinical Chairs, Departmental Administrators, and LuAnn Trainer, Vice President for Physician Services, to achieve greater operational effectiveness and an enhanced Einstein experience throughout the EPP practices.  Mr. George will also play an important role in the AECIS implementation in the physician practices.
